Amadeus
  September 17 - October 3, 2004
Peter Shaffer's 1981 play that inspired the 1984 film. The play won two Tony's: Best Play and Outstanding Actor in a Play for Ian McKellan's performance as Salieri. See the destroying jealousy of Salieri confront the creative genius of Mozart.

Sleuth
  October 22 - November 7, 2004
Anthony Shaffer's (the twin brother of Peter, see above) 1970 play that led to the 1972 film hit starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. One of the greatest stage thrillers, an intriguing study of human conflict, jealousy and manipulation.

Stalag 17
  November 26 - December 12, 2004
Billy Wilder's 1951 Broadway play which led to the 1953 novel and film. A black comedy full of supense set in a German POW camp.

Yule, Love It
  December 17, 18 & 19, 2004 (three nights only)
A special evening of holiday songs and readings performed by a bevy of NET favorites. A special treat for season ticket holders, company members, and their guests.

Our Town
  January 21 - February 6, 2005
An American classic. "It's a little play with all the big subjects in it," wrote Thornton Wilder in a 1937 letter to Gertrude Stein.
Blithe Spirit
  February 25 - March 13, 2005
A light comedy by Noel Coward in which the ghost of a deceased wife, Elvira, returns to haunt and harass her surviving husband, Charles Condomine, a writer who has remarried. Wife number two, Ruth, finds herself in competition with a ghost whom she cannot see and Charles' status quo is so upended that he is forced to reassess his relationships.
The Tempest
  April 1 - 17, 2005
Considered by some to be Shakespeare's farewell to the theatre. Written at a time when accounts of the colonization of the Americas were trickling back to England. These reports suggested a "brave new world." A magical play about a magical place.
The Sound of Music
  May 5 - 22, 2005
Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical story of the von Trapp family that opened on Broadway in 1959. Unknown to most Austrians not affiliated with the tourist industry, but much beloved by many Americans. The musical with everything: romance, humor, adventure, and great music.
